This was taken on a section of the pacific crest trail that passes through the Caliente Wilderness Area roughly 6 miles from where I entered the trail. I found a great campsite and had the entire wilderness to myself. There was no light pollution, noise, or people: solitude. As an added bonus I was treated to a short meteor shower around 12:30 or so.

The rock and surrounding mountains are moonlit. Really wish I had light painted the sections of rock in the shadow... Oh well, next time.
