Today the dragonfly migration is in full swing across Central Texas. Thousands of insects are streaming past our house, heading south. It's not a great day to photograph them, though, since none appear to be stopping but here's a picture I took a few weeks ago at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. It's of one of the many Blue Dashers that patrol around one of the ponds there. These guys are pretty easy to photograph since they tend to sit still for a fairly long period and have very predictable patrol paths.
