Experimenting last night with model Clare Rhiannon! Excited for future shoots in this space - this was the first one, and I have 3 others already planned. I may reshoot this concept, as I just don't think it's grand enough to my liking. Something I love doing is taking the shoots I plan out, and then making them 10 times crazy or more grand.... Which means a LOT for this photograph.
I think the best thing about photography, or any art form really, is that there's no "plateau" to rise to and finally be "good." We're all constantly learning as artists, challenging norms, taking things to far and always being a student. We're meant to break limits in what we create, and we're never meant to settle or say we're done learning.
One of the things I always hoped for early in my career as a photographer was to one day "finally be a good photographer." And honestly, I still feel that to this day. It's a complete myth that you, as an artist, will ever feel like you've learned everything there is to learn or created everything there is to create.
And that is good. That's where true artistry begins.
