Never Summer Clouds

    Newer Older

This past weekend was filled with attempts at shooting the milky way, yet one of my favorites from the weekend was after a sunrise when I threw on the 10 stop ND filter...

I put up a blog post with more images and more info than you probably care to know about here :) www.kinghamphotography.com/blog/2012/5/may-milky-way

      Sick one!!!
I was up on top of Trail Ridge, wind was psycho (obviously) and it was about -6 with the chill.
Way too crazy to even try the tripod and long exposures with my nd110 ;-)

      Thank you all!

I imagine the winds were nasty up considering how fast these clouds were moving, it was pretty cold here but the wind wasn't too crazy.

Awesome shot, David! The light and composition on this is fantastic! Your decision to put your filter on was a good one indeed. Honestly, fantastic light and rock solid comp in this photo. Keep up the great work!

      I love the starkness of the B & W.

Hmmm... That's one cool effect you get with that 10stopper. And the way you composed the streaking clouds against the peaks looks really impressive! Way to go David!

This is fantastic - great lines, a sense of time (or timeless ness) all in a minimalist package. Perfect.

      Inspiring!
