Does She Love Me?

    Newer Older

I thought about doing this shot all day today. I even drew a little picture and planned the lens, the location, the light everything. Then I got caught in delays on the freakin stupid frickin trains and almost missed the sunset light! So I rushed with my mum, who complained profusely, to pull apart loads of daisies for this. I really wanted to capture the petal falling to show that it is a classic, lovestuck fool doing 'she loves me, she loves me not', he has been doing it a long time, because it is evening and look at all those petals! :) There is no deep meaning to this, I am not pondering my crushes. I have an amazing girl, who I love very much, and I'm pretty sure she feels the same. Hence, the faceless, nameless subject :)

I couldn't decide on the colour treatment on this one or whether to post the B&W, so the colour versions are in the comments and follow the link if you would like to see it monochrome :D

According to shutterbug group rules, the setting used were as follows:
    Camera: Canon 5D Mark II
Lens: Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 mkii
    Focal length: Er, 50mm
    Aperture: f/2.8
    Shutter: 1/200
    Iso: 200
Camera on Gorilla Pod low to the ground

Aw, this is so sweet. I do love how you caught the petal falling, it adds to the emotion of the picture.
