this is by far the best of the photos. lovely, great lighting, and perfectly sincere expression.

My vote for the best of the group, as well.

Yep I have to agree with the above comments. How did you do this?

My boss has a portrait sitting and this soft lighting would complement him.

    Thanks for sharing

Umm....Errr... I would sure love to see some strobist info on this. Cool effect. One that I would like to try.

I will be doing an OA on this whole assignment.

I definitely see a rectangle of light on his face, so it must also be gobo'ed in some way. Did I miss that in your post? A 5 inch snoot maybe on the on-camera fill flash?

    I. Will. Be. Doing. An. OA. On. This. Whole. Assignment.

    Stunning light! Love the simplicity.

    Question.......Just bought the Softbox III.
    Bit confused with the technicalities..
    Use a Canon 450D and a Speedlite 430X.
Do I use ETTL? How do I compensate for light loss of 2 stops? Metering? etc...

Ok, I have to agree with everyone above. I love this shot the best out of the group and I didn't see it covered in the OA post you did of him. Maybe this would be a portrait you could cover on the blog for a "best of" series ...or something? :)
