David, you don't seem to have a flickr set of artwork ... ???

      Thanks :o)

Celeste: I hadn't realised there was a theme but now that you mention it they do seem to be linked don't they? I seem to always have the viewer looking down on the scene - either this is some sort of subconscious religious reference (an angel or God looking down) or more likely it harks back to Christmas viewings of "The Snowman" which I'm not a huge fan of but the scene where the boy and the snowman fly over the landscape has always stuck in my mind.

And no, I don't have a set of illustrations on Flickr. When I complete a commission I post them up as "visible to friends only" for a few days as I don't like publicly posting something that might not see publication for several months. These recent ones didn't matter as they were just personal work. I suppose I just tend to think of Flickr as being somewhere to share my photos.

So nice David! Love your illos!

Something I've done with my images is that they are "undownloadable". It was because a friend of mine showed my flickr at work and one of her co-workers wanted to download my images to make cards and stuff like that. It didn't amuse me, so I put the hardest copyright restrain. I think they can make comp screen prints, but very pixelated... well... I don't work in illustration, so all my work is personal (!), but indeed the downloading part stresses me a bit!

Love this. Such powerful simplicity.. I can almost hear the silent snow except for the crunch of his boots.
