    Hi David,

I'm writing to you on behalf of Positive News. Positive News is a solution-focused newspaper reporting on initiatives that are creating a sustainable, just, equitable, healthy and fulfilling future.

We are running an article about recent developments toward the cessation of Indonesian palm oil plantations, and are looking for images to accompany the piece. May we have your permission to use this image for inclusion in the above mentioned article on our website and in our quarterly print publication?

We are a not-for-profit organisation and currently rely on the support of volunteer contributions. We would of course credit you for the image where it is reproduced, and are able to print a website address for you if desired. Please get in touch through flickr or email me directly: hello@xanderashwell.co.uk

    Many thanks,

    Xander Ashwell

    Hi David and Becky,
I love doing animals in traditionally hooked rugs and would love to have your permission to do a hooked rug adaptation of this orangutan image. It is the most fantastic image of an orangutan that I have seen. The rug would be for my own personal use and would not be made to be sold. Although I teach rug hooking and do create patterns for others this one would be for me. You can see some of my finished pieces at www.anajon-rughooking.com

    Thanks for your consideration.

    Hi David and Becky,
I am writing from World Land Trust-US, a rainforest conservation nonprofit, based in Virginia. We would love to use this fantastic picture as the image for our orangutan appeal, both on our website and via contact with our donor base through Constant Contact. We are trying to raise funds to purchase a tract of land that represents some of their last habitat. This land will be owned by the local people in the area, thus empowering them to steward their own conservation legacy. Let me know! More information can be found on our website: www.worldlandtrust-us.org, and feel free to email me directly at nbaker@worldlandtrust-us.org with your decision and also how you would like the photo credit to read!
