Bringing In The Tide

All the beaches of O'ahu are enthralling, and this one especially so. The combination of strong surf, interesting rock formations, and a western facing beach leads to beautiful sunset moments. I only wish I had a graduated neutral density filter to even out the sky a little.

On the northeast corner of the island of O'ahu lies a gem of a beach at Kaena State Park. The windward coast of O'ahu contains many beautiful and nearly deserted beaches. My cousin suggested this mile or so long beach which had maybe 50 people on it. Total. This beach was one of our favorites from the trip. You can see the beginning of the mountains that line the beach. These rocks cover the southern end of the beach, producing awesome crashing against the beach, followed to the north by some of the most beautiful beach around.
