West Pennard - East Window

The church of Saint Nicholas is the parish church of the village of West Pennard in Somerset. West Pennard can be found between Glastonbury and Shepton Mallet.

The church has a collection of stained glass windows. A number of the 19th century windows were made in Europe. This picture shows one of five windows in the Chancel and Sanctuary of the church. The appreciation of these windows is marred by the heavy rods protecting them. This window is the East window of the church. It is made up of five panels depicting events from the life of Christ. From the left the scenes are, the Nativity, the Baptism by John the Baptist, the Crucifixion, the women at the empty Tomb, and the meal at Emmaus. I could not find any information regarding the date or the manufacturer of this window.
