I'd hoped they were going to leave that. Would have been a neat donation. Useful too, accept for the fact that it didn't make it up the hill. I guess it's theirs, so they can keep it. (As it happens, I believe I'd actually witnessed the train where this lokie failed. Amtrak's eastbound Anne Rutledge had crept into Kirkwood Station dramatically late and but a stones throw behind a freight. Turns out the freight had died on the hill and Amtrak had been forced to provide an assist. Once the culprit was cut from the herd and left to graze among the museum pieces for a while, that is. And a few days later I was out at the museum appreciating the new acquisition before getting to work when all of this unfolded. Ah well. Interesting, anyway.)
