Hoover Building

    Newer Older

This London building, along the busy A40, was the office and factory for the Hoover Company from 1933. The ground floor was used as a workshop and the upper floors were offices.
The art deco style building has green floodlighting which was part of the original design and played havoc with the white balance on my camera.
Part of the building is now a Tesco supermarket but this is one store where they were not permitted to erect prominent Tesco signs on the front facade.

of my teenage years as I lived near here,in Greenford Rd.
      Excellent work Dave.
