Purple Coneflower (Echinacea)
Deeply frustrated by having to postpone the photo shoot that had been scheduled for Sunday, I seriously needed to get out on Monday and go somewhere where I could shoot lots of photos. I drove up to the Fragrance Garden at the Hovander Homestead in Ferndale, Washington. Much of the garden was in full bloom, and countless bees were busily collecting pollen. I spent about 90 minutes there, and I filled up my 2 gig card for the first time ever.
I am posting a small flood of photos from the Fragrance Garden, as well as a few from a walk through the nearby wetlands. This is one of those shots.
Unfortunately, I don't remember what most of the flowers are. If some knowledgable, kind soul would like to help identify them, that would be wonderful.
