Super short wheelbase Plymouth Voyager Minivan

Newer Older

Super short wheelbase Plymouth Voyager Minivan - I talked to the owner - her husband chopped out the sliding door section a number of years ago.

wow....he did a great job on the conversion. Other that the really odd proportions, it looks as though it could've been factory built.

I bet this thing is interesting to drive.

Not sure on the why - she didn't even seem sure - just something to do I guess. It was very well done but she said it had a lot of miles on it so might not be around much longer.

/\....that's a shame. It would be a riot with the Turbo/5 speed setup that was optional on these vans.

Haha, fantastic! It does indeed look like he did a great job on the conversion. Almost looks like the big brother of a Dodge Raider...

/\.....that IS what it reminds me of.....a 2-door Raider.

It would be even more interesting with a high top conversion too.

    I missed this at first!

Sooner or later, someone was bound to do it!

In California, itinerant gardeners have sometimes switched to these, not shortened of course, from their mini-pickups--keeps things drier in the morning condensation that passes for summer precipitation here.

Here's the only "short" car I've seen:

    Half A Cadillac

I've seen one of the short Cadillacs around as well but it had a spare tire on the side of the hood behind the front wheel. Never managed to catch a photo of it sadly.

It reminds me of a Ford Festiva, only bloated, like it was overinflated or 'risen' like bread dough.

Um, Dave........I hope you already know about this.

Click on the picture above and check out pic # 6. I didn't see you credited at all...........I just wanted to let you know in case you didn't authorize anyone to post it

......but at least you made it onto Jalopnik!...That would be ok by me. ;-)
