Our annual LifeMed training was tonight at station one in Solodtna. Talk about a show stopper, land a helicopter in the back parking lot, 50 feet from the Sterling Highway hahaha. We go through basic training every year on the operations of everything from landing the helo, to patient care and loading/unloading.

LifeMed 1 is a EuroCopter MBB-BK 117 C-1 powered by a Turbomeca Arriel 1SER Turbo-shaft engine. It was built in 2002 and can carry two patients and 3 flight crew, although the preference is 1 patient and 3 crew.
