Where did you get that background?

    2. DaveFayram 52 months ago | reply

The desktop background is from this collection. The Helvetica narrow code is provided C/O hyperspaces. I use a 6 space setup with the top row using the light background from the aforementioned collection and the lower "work" row using the dark background.

Before anyone asks again, for reference:

The machine is a first-gen unibody macbook pro 15" with a gelaskin. It's hooked up to the new 27" apple monitor.

The coffee pot is a Yama 3-Cup Siphon Pot sold by Northwest Glass. It's an awesome kit if you have a hot water pot around.

The pen is a Muji Aluminum Round Fountain Pen.

The cup is standard glassware sold at nearly any coffee house. I'm really not partial to the color, but it kept the exposure easy.

The iPad stand is the popular 12South Compass. (And to descend into the truly mundane details, it's a wifi-only ipad.)

The Table Top is a BYSKE from Ikea. The Table Legs are VIKA FAGERLID from Ikea.

I should get affiliate links. I have pimped a lot of products lately.

great desk! I'm a little jealous :).. what softwares are you using? in the middle maybe coda.. but i have no idea which sw is on the right.. it looks like some twitter client.

    5. arcatan 51 months ago | reply

Looks like Terminal, Emacs and Echofon, from left to right.

    6. DaveFayram 51 months ago | reply

, arcatan has it right. It's just terminal (showing my dev session and a call to ack); an emacs window in the middle of editing our public project Clothesline; and then my favorite twitter client, Echofon.

Except for perhaps an instance of Tower, that's usually all I have running in my Code spaces.

Man, I am so envious of your setup — beautiful stuff!

    8. DaveFayram 48 months ago | reply

Thanks Tony, but there's no need to be envious. The desk was very inexpensive. We bought a bunch of them on a very tight office budget!

Great setup.. How do you like the magic track pad with no mouse?

    10. DaveFayram 47 months ago | reply

      I like it very much.
