This shows the outside face of one of the L-shaped towers of the National Library and as you can see glass is still the dominant material for the facade. Undoubtedly beautiful but It is slightly surprising that towers built to hold books should be made entirely of a material specifically made to enable the passage of light (to then install timber shutters behind them seems to make the contradiction all the more obvious).
