Army and Navy Club -- what used to be quarters of American military officers

I hope they never tear down this historical building. Not only is it a beautiful/historical American Colonial structure, It is also very close to my heart.

Army and Navy Club used to be an exclusive club for American military elite. Then by the 1970s they opened membership to few Filipino military elite. My dad was a member. I learned how to swim here. They made the best hamburgers and hotdogs. Waiters wore white gloves. Back then A&NC was really really beautiful!

I hope the City of Manila never tears down this building. It's been declared "condemned." For over a decade it was left unattended because of ownership disputes and non payment of taxes. Meanwhile it was allowed to rot - just like the Metropolitan Theatre (Filipino art deco) and Luneta Hotel.
