Borobodur in the mist
Borobodur, the world's largest Buddhist monument as the morning mist the the jungle. Its somewhat small size in comparison to the surrounding forest in this scene might be a bit deceiving - it truly is a massive monument with several kilometers of frescos and hundreds of Buddhas. Seen from a distance like this i looks very serene. Borobodur has been a UNESCO world heritage since 1991.
This was shot slightly before this shot before the sun had started to warm the scene.

You should really watch this Large On Black since that brings out more details. My pictures aren't balanced for a white background and a lot of the finer details are lost in this small format. the large version is a sixth of the original - The medium size shown here even smaller...
