329 Bleecker Street 1975

Corner of Christopher and Bleecker. This is apparently the building (or perhaps the remaing part of a building) where the grid plan of New York was designed in 1807-09. This picture is from a book called "New York Then and Now". Photograph by Edmund V. Gillon. Picture taken in 1925. Submitted for the "Past Lives of Buildings" programme on the Leonard Lopate Show on WNYC.
