The Eagle Scout Award

The Eagle Scout rank, known widely as the greatest award a young man may achieve in the United States, was first awarded a century ago on August 1, 1912.

Youth participating the leadership development program of the Boy Scouts of America learn valuable life skills applicable to their careers and family life. Only a small portion of Boy Scouts ever earn the Eagle Scout award, but those who do are often successful in their professions and communities.

Eagle Scouts are counted among the top scientists, educators, artists, athletes, business owners, inventors, and community organizers in the United States.
