As mentioned earlier I’m experimenting a little bit within other fields of photography these days. This is one of my first real attempts on doing a portrait with external lights.

The shot is done in my living room with a black sheet as a background.

I’ve used a home made soft box, a cheap construction lamp and the light from a window, and I’ve worked a lot on shaping the light and shadows later on in Photoshop.

I’m very happy with the result! It was quite a lot of post processing on this one.

Skin is a difficult thing to work with I think, but this time I found a new way to work with it.

Instead of adding the skin a surface blur or such, I decreased the clarity in Camera Raw and that gave me a much more natural result.

Landscaping is still my true passion, but portraits can be fun too!
