Agassiz Road Bridge

The Agassiz Road Bridge crossing the Muddy River in the Back Bay Fens Park (or simply 'The Fens'), one of the 'jewels' in Boston's Emerald Necklace. Built in 1887 as part of Fredrick Law Olmsted's series of urban park lands in Boston and Brookline MA, the bridge is constructed of brick and clad with Roxbury Puddingstone. Today it is still in use for both pedestrians and, somewhat surprisingly, motor vehicles. More about 'The Fens':
