Indianapolis, Indiana from the bridge over the canal walk. The Congressional Medal of Honor Memorial sits in the foreground on the canal (the lighted glass walls).

Work downtown? Why not leave a note where you spend your days? :)

I currently live in WV and very much miss Indiana. Is there some way that I can get a copy of this photo?

Beautiful! I need to remember to run over to that side of the city to get some shots. I'm usually on the north/northeast side of downtown.

I'd leave a note but can't quite see where I work, it's behind the tall tan building just left of center.

So this is just a long exposure? It looks like HDR... The colors are really vibrant!

Thanks Iratus Cattus, yep, long exposure...it's not an HDR. I had good sky conditions for the shots that night!

Damgaard, used a small portion if the photo on our Indianapolis Web Design Blog. Wanted to make sure you are ok with that. If not, let me know and I will remove. You do great work. Maybe we can get together for a Mocha Latte some time.

Hey there! I'm the editor for a hard-bound book that's currently in production, and found your photos via a Flickr search for great Indianapolis area photos.

The Indy Star is putting on a photo contest for the purpose of finding the absolute best photos of the Indy area, then publishing them in a fine-art coffee-table book. What's unique about this contest is that users are in the drivers seat, voting for the photos they think should be in the book. There's also a lot of prizes to be won, although for most photographers the exposure (especially if your photos make the book) is the reason to get involved.

We're calling it Capture Indy. It's all free and I think your photos would be a great fit. You retain all rights and you get some great exposure for your website or Flickr page (we properly credit you, and link back to you all over the place, we even allow to to sell prints if you're set up to do that. Plus, your website would be published if your photos made the book). If you've got a free minute and want a shot at getting published, winning prizes, or just want to see some other great Indianapolis-area photos, head over to Capture Indy.

Oh and we use the Flickr API so putting your photos on the Capture Indy website is a click of a button.

If you'd like to know more about the project, or want to shoot me a FlickrMail, please feel free to do so.

    Thanks for your time!
