Wet Bumblebee Series 1-3
Technique: This is the same bumblebee as that's in the 1-1 and 1-2 images. I have tried several times, in the heat of the day, to hand feed this species but it's too scitish. But since this one was lethargic and was pretty much acclimated to me I decided to try it. That Glossa (tongue) feels rough, like being licked by a little cat.
Tech Specs: Canon 70D (F16, 1/250, ISO 200) + a Canon MP-E 65mm macro lens (around 1.5x) + a diffused MT-24EX (flash head "A" set as the key and "B" as the fill, with the key on a Kaiser adjustable flash shoe). This is a single, uncropped, frame taken hand held. I used an artificial flower to keep the background from being black.
