A Bungalow will have most of these characteristics.

*Low pitched roof
*Wide overhanging eaves
*Exposed rafter tails
*Decorative knee braces
*Open floor plans
*Colonnade separating the living and dining area
*1-1.5 stories, sometimes 2
*Built in cabinetry
*Beamed ceilings
*Wainscot in dining/living room
* Large fireplace
*Dormers - shed, hipped or gabled
*Large front porch
*Double hung windows with multiple panes in the upper, single pane in the lower
*Bump outs in living areas for window seats and built- ins
