Marsh-Marigold (King Cup, Cowslip; Caltha palustris) - Morris County Outdoor Education Center, The Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, Southern Blvd, Chatham, New Jersey

The Marsh Marigolds were at the peak of their bloom today, and doin' the best I've seen them in years (I guess they must like the rain we've had this Spring). Between the joggers runnin' down the boardwalks, and my tripod sinkin' in the swamp mud, it was a hard choice, but I finally decided on the marsh muck. The marsh muck also had the added benefit of allowing me to focus at my MFD by simply moving the tripod in the muck.
