Unlike her younger brother, she is always game for portraits, which is why she's the one i always turn to for those impromptu portrait shots with my fast lenses.
She jumped onto the ledge near this very dimly lit BBQ site, and I made sure she stood at a position where the background bokeh could be complemented by an array of yellow lightsources coming from the various units of the condo.
Then, I asked her to relax, because I still unfortunately had to manual focus and made sure the confirmation dot was on, then while holding my camera and flash with my right hand, I had to whip out a small paper plate (My make-shift bounce card) and support it behind the flash.
After which, I would get her to strike a pose whilst trying to be steady with the camera and supporting my paper plate all at the same time before i pressed the shutter button.
I'm quite satisfied with this portrait considering the place was rather pitch black, dark! Portrait was shot wide open at f1.2, fill in flash while balancing out the ambient background light:)
