This is part of (hopefully) an ongoing portrait project with watermelon sellers.
Dabuleni is the Romanian central village when it comes to watermelon production. Every summer producers fill up vans or trucks and empty them on the sidewalks of every town across the country. They're open 24/7 (they sleep there on the spot for a couple of months, sometimes together with all members of the family). It's one of the charms of Romania that I'd hate to see go.
