Obélisque de Louxor

Fours photos merged together to give more detail to the hieroglyphics in the 23m high obelisk. Made during the reign of the pharaoh Ramses II, it is one of two the Egyptian government gave to the French in the nineteenth century (both originally from the temple of Luxor, one has now been returned to the Egyptians). Best viewed large!
