Monorail Monday; Inside Edition - Disneyland Mk VII

Justin and I met-up with Ryan Pastorino the other evening for a couple hours of photography at Disneyland. Unfortunately, the local weather phenomenon known as May Gray or June Gloom ( a coastal marine layer of low, foggy clouds) showed up about the same time as Justin and I...

We decided to try something other than landscapes, and at Ryan's suggestion, we settled on Monorail to try something different. I have had the idea for this scene perculating in my mind for a while, never having the opportunity to try it out. The evening crowds were light, and we found ourselves inside the rear bubble of Monorail Orange. My thought was to setup and record a HDR image from inside one of the observation bubbles while moving. The challenge would be the long exposures required for the interior, while capturing nice streaking lights on the outside, while keeping the tripod steady on the VERY (VERY!!) bumpy ride....I managed to capture this scene as we headed out from Downtown Disney station. My view is skewed a bit ( but i like it - it adds to the movement ) due to the fact that I was positioned on the seat around the left hand side, while Ryan was setup to my right, in the middle of the cab.
