Billy Hill and the Hillbillies at the Golden Horseshoe

Located in Frontierland, The Golden Horseshoe is one of the original show and entertainment locations at Disneyland. In fact, the Golden Horsehoe's official opening was a day earlier than DIsneyland's, being host to a private party held by Walt DIsney. Many of Disneyland's visitors walk right by this wild west saloon while touring the Park...those guests don't know what they are missing!

The longest running show to play here was The Golden Horseshoe Revue running from 1955 to 1986. Legendary vaudevillian Wally Boag made the Golden Horseshoe a very happy place when he took the stage here as Pecos Bill the cowboy and a travelling salesman ( among others..) entertaining guests with jokes, gags, and slapstick comedy. If you have never heard of Wally Boag, look him up here:

Today, The Golden Horseshoe is home to Billy Hill and the Hillbillies, a blue-grass group that entertains with great music, jokes, and slapstick that will leave you smiling. If you look closely, all of the entertainers have name badges saying "Billy"... This is a great place to beat the summer heat, enjoy a great show, and take advantage of the snack bar serving Fish n Chips, Chicken Tenders, fries, and Ice cream...

Our Mice Chat Meetup crew ducked inside for the show this past Sunday. That's them all along the balcony on the far side...Justin and I went across to the other side to capture the entire showroom including our rowdy bunch having a great time...
