Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky...
~ Rabindranath Tagore
An in-camera pano (with a couple little fixes in PS where the stitching was off). On a whim I headed out camping on Saturday with the intention of shooting some star trails. The skies were reported clear, but as I got closer to my destination, the cloud cover kept getting thicker. After getting to my campsite and setting up my tent, and it was apparent that I wouldn't be shooting star trails, I took a ride to pick up some beverages for sitting around the campfire. On my way, I was treated to the most spectacular sky show! There was an open farm where I could pull up and have a great view over the corn field. I climbed up on a truck that was there to get a higher view. I stayed there, watching and shooting until it got dark. It was truly a magnificent gift.
You absolutely need to view this on LightBox or on BigHugeLabs' black, and even then it doesn't do it justice to what it looked like in real life.
