Home of The Delphi

    Newer Older

This warehouse/boat slip was built to house The Delphi. It is similar to construction that would have been present during the canal's era.

    Take a closer look...

We enjoyed our visits to the Delphi community this past weekend. During the Heritage Transportation Festival, The Delphi was unveiled, a historic vehicle parade traversed town, helicopter and plane rides were given at the local airport (Brady, Onika, and I took our first plane ride (Piper Cherokee PA-28R-201)--Mom wimped out :-) ), tours were given at the old Delphi Opera House (which is being restored), and a new art gallery opened with the works of three talented local artists.

I also enjoyed a Pepperjack, Bacon, and Tomato sandwich at a local bakery--it was pure heaven.

If you are in the area, Delphi is a lovely community to visit!

Thank you Joel for the providing the song information!

This is about the canal East of Lake Erie but, nonetheless, is relevant to the period and the Western canal.

Great shot! The processing really emphasizes the historical aspect of the structure.

Your coloured photographs have eloquence but this one certainly has shrewd atmosphere. I'd love to visit this place some day and see the works of Artists in art gallery. :)
