A Fine Mixed-Terrain Loop
Just the hint of morning drizzle on the windows and concrete out back - not enough to stick around once the sun rose. Bumped around the house a bit and then eased out for a road loop, which turned into a short diversion onto the lower trails at China Camp, which extended into a bit more climbing, wheezing and climbing onto the upper trails (hadn't planned on climbing fixed, and was too lazy to flip the wheel...).

Enjoyed the challenges of trail riding on a fixed gear for a while, then popped out onto the pavement again, looped down towards the south for a while, pushing a pretty fall feeling headwind. This, of course became my best - though fickle - friend on the way back. Just a tick past 40 miles on the day. A glorious day it was.
