Dead Confederates at Rose Farm
Taken just two days after the battle, this Alexander Gardner photo shows dead Confederates of Hood's division awaiting burial. The Snyder Farm, the focus of a current CWPT preservation campaign, is visible just beyond the trees, near the center of the photo.
Over the years, CWPT has helped to save 698 acres of the Gettysburg battlefield. We are now working to save an additional 2 acre tract associtated with John Bell Hood's attack on July 2, 1863. For more information on this and other Civil War battlefields, please visit our website at:
