There isn't anything too spectacular about this shot. The rain was coming down pretty good when I made it, and I was dealing with keeping the front of the lens dry (or trying to anyway). This was nearly 3 hours after the first shots of the falls were made. The rains started about 30 minutes after the hike down to the base, eventually slacking up only slightly and for just a few minutes. This was one of the last shots of the day for me. We dropped down into the drainage here, explored downstream in between seeking shelter from the downpours, then made our way back upstream to get some shots of the muddied water roaring over the ledge. After we shot the cascade pictured below, Matt made his way up and back across Whitaker Creek above the falls. I stayed down at the bottom, then shimmied across a giant log to get back to the other side for the leisurely stroll back to the truck.
