OK, so a good many months ago, I went out to OB with my daughter to catch the sunset. I was kind of upset to find how clear the horizon was and knew that the chance of getting some beautiful colors after the sunset were out of the question! However, we stuck around any way. We went to the top of the pier and watched the sunset. Low and behold, for the first time ever, I saw the green flash! My daughter saw it too, but she had NO idea what it was and really had little clue at that moment. There was an older guy next to us who looked up and then at me and said, "I saw that" in an AWE moment! The question is, did I capture it? Take a look at the image, is that the green flash? I ask because I think it is, but its a very rare thing to see and even more rare to capture in a picture! To keep the interrety of the image and color, I did VERY little post processing! After all, I can make my dinning room table look like the green flash if I wanted to! And if I had photo shop! LOL
Any way, I had a bit of trouble capturing this moment to began with, I had my settings ALL wrong! My ISO was set for the day before and I put the camera in El Servo mode instead of rapid fire mode! That had me ALL distracted. And as my mind was trying to wrap around why my camera was not beeping for the focus and the lights on the inside was not lighting up and that it was not clicking MANY times, I saw the flash. It was so clear and perfect! Any way, I think it looks green to me, but that could be me wishing it was! So, any input would be great!
