Hector Falls 2: 3/22/11

This photo was taken downstream from the falls. I wish I knew more about geology. The huge sandstone block has multiple layers of sediment, but every couple feet, the layers switch direction. Hector Falls in the Allegheny National Forest is truly a unique waterfall. This 22 foot high by 10 foot wide square block of sandstone is a site to behold.
