Fiddlers ReStrung
For almost 15 years, Saline Area Schools has proudly produced one of the most renowned fiddling ensembles ever created. Founded by string educator and composer Bob Phillips, these high school students perform over 80 shows a year in venues ranging from community service to high profile and private events.

Wholesome American Bluegrass, stirring Celtic fiddle and touches of Texas Swing and Latin flair combine in a dazzling array of styles abounding with energy. Filled with wicked fiddle solos, somber cello airs, and the cadence of rhythmic Appalachian step dancing, this stage show offers something for everyone with youthful spirit and honest charm.

Made up entirely of students at Saline High School in Saline, Michigan, members are top scholars and athletes, and all share a passion for performing. Touring annually, the ensemble travels often with recent trips to Kentucky, Tennessee, New York City, and Prince Edward Island. They have shared the stage with an extensive list of internationally known musicians including Laurie Lewis, Alasdair Fraser, Natalie Hass, April Verch, Barrage and Natalie MacMaster.

Dedicated to preserving fiddle music, serving the community and encouraging the positive qualities of young adults, Fiddlers ReStrung acts as a role model for music education, attending and providing numerous workshops and instructional opportunities. Community contributions comprise a third of their schedule, astounding audiences at countless schools, churches, hospitals and senior centers each year.
