The Lord is My Editor - Parody of Psalm 23 ... (seen here on a kaleidoscope background)
I originally had this on plain white, but then I thought that since my main designs here are kaleidoscopes, my poetry should be displayed this way as well. Obviously, it is easier to read in the larger size, but it still seems readable in the starter size.
About the poem: I wrote this for the Kentucky Christian Writer's Conference back in 2004. I was asked to give a morning devotion, and when I prayed about it, this came to me rather quickly. The idea had been a seed in my mind from a writing exercise someone had suggested about rewriting Psalm 23 to be whatever the Lord is to you. We never did the exercise, but I always knew that if I wrote it, it would have something to do with writing. So, for a writer, someone in a position of Lordship would likely be an editor.

While I copyright my writing, I am very free with it just like my images, but I don't automatically list my words with a Creative Commons license like my photos because I want to hear from people who want to use them. Just send me a Flickr mail to let me know you would like to use my lyrics or poetry for your personal project, gift, or card.
