I see this leading to onboard fights, especially with the seat numbers listed. Heh.

Brilliant though. By nerds for nerds?

They should eliminate the seat numbers. One of the reasons people can express themselves so readily in chat rooms/message boards is because of anonimity. Cool though.

I can't see what the input device is - was there a touchscreen keyboard below this?

Operation Slapstick: I think they are trying to avoid anonymity, so that if someone starts swearing everyone can go over to 11F and beat them up.

The last thing I want on an airplane is people "expressing themselves" even more readily.

I forsee greater membership in the Mile-High Club if this ever (ahem) takes off.

@Ennnis: Yes, there was a little handheld thingie with a qwerty keyboard, like 2" x 6" or so, rounded curvilinear form, hard to text fast but pretty good input device. Slides into your armrest when not in use.

ZOMG - I was rolling on the floor seeing this stuff. It's great, from all angles. And, finally, someone realized it's freaking 21st century and WE NEEDS TEH INTERNETS ON PLANE!
