Encore! I love to sing and spin around!

In Mañana Iguana, conejo, tortuga and culebra (rabbit, turtle and snake) just want to have fun at the fiesta, and iguana is frustrated because no one wants to help her get ready. Encore! I love to sing and spin around!

Telling and retelling stories is a great way for every child to get ready to read. During our celebration of Día de los Niños / Día de los Libros (Day of Children / Day of Books), we shared the bilingual story Mañana Iguana by Ann Whitford Paul and then we played with animal shapes to retell the story. Uno, Dos, Tres, One, Two, Three by Pat Mora, the founder of this national day, and ¡Fiesta! by Ginger Foglesong Guy are 2 more books about parties that will sprinkle your stories with Spanish and fun. Enjoy reading and telling stories together!
