It used to say White Stag, a brand of locally made camping gear until the late 80's.

The coolest sign in Portland.... Viva Portland!

And they want to change the sign again. To say Oregon Ducks or something stupid. It's fine the way it is.

      Great signage

White Stag was mostly famous for clothing, the premier of which was White Stag sweaters.

The sign is ironic, considering White Stag no longer exists, and the other textiles/clothing companies "based" in Oregon, Nike and Columbia, no longer "make" anything there at all.

Portland, Oregon is indeed RIP City and not some boring MLS soccer city.
