Novella's pumpkin, pre-roasting

blogged on Muffin Top. this will be put in a 350F oven and roasted for about an hour...and then pureed.

    What the heck are all those growth thingies all over the skin?

    I don't actually know--but the other pumpkins also had it. (And realkly, when a squash/pumpkin has these things on them, I think they look even tastier). When I cooked it and looked at them after roasting, it seems they are PART of the pumpkin! I'll have to ask Novella when she comes back from her roadtrip.

    btw, this is the BEST pumpkin I have EVER tasted.
