Carl Zeiss Luminar 63/4.5 + Canon 5D Mark II
I'm the happy owner since late last year of a Canon EOS 5D Mark II body and a Carl Zeiss Luminar 63/4.5 lens aquired from eBay.
This is my first stack with the new setup, it was shot in the field a few days ago. True spring is approaching fast, the first insects are slowly coming to life.
This small gastropod shell has a length around 10 mm. 54 stacked natural diffused light - with Nikon SW-12 diffuser.
The Canon body worked very well but the highlight of the day was the surprising (for me) performance of the Luminar lens. It's not the highest resolving lens I have for sure but the performace is very good for such an old generation lens. I think the main advantage using it is the ease of use - it has a very compact barrel and a nice working distance. I'm impressed. :-)
Equipment used: Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Carl Zeiss Luminar 63/4.5 lens, Nikon PB-6 bellows, RRS TP-243 tripod.
