Large on white looks is worth a look

Another creative outdoor session in almost total darkness. At least for the foreground part because I needed flashlite assistance to see where I was walking. This is an extra long exposure of 166 sec. The whole scene was lightened by painting with the one of the largest MagLite® flashlights during the exposure time. It must have been a quite amusing scene, seeing me standing there waving with the flashlight for almost 3 minutes.

When the exposure was displayed on the LCD, I just couldn't believe the quality of the lighting. I guess a picture perfect moment. The light from my 15-some year old MagLite causes a nice rich warm hue, particularly during nighttime. A mini MagLite® has its place in my camerabag too, permanently.

When I got home I just couldn't wait to crop it to my usual 16:10 ratio frame. And here it is, no additional post-processing required. Gosh, it almost feels like there's something wrong with it :-)) There's even time left over to study the rest of the series of tonight, I haven't seen the other ones yet, lol!

Post-processing notes: Camera calibrating to Camera Vivid in Lightroom and cropping to my 16:10 ratio frame.

Location: At the Oldambtmeer, just outside of Winschoten looking towards the Blauwe Stad, in the peaceful landscape of the East-Groninger area 'Oldambt.' of the Netherlands.
