A long exposure of he high-speed Transrapid magnetic levitation railway, a 31,5 km test track between Lathen and Dörpen in western Germany. Well, at least I think it's still a test-track, but I'm not quite sure.

I think this was one of my most creative sessions in the field. Light painting by the extra bright headlights of my Audi A6 and a 6D Cell size Mag® flashlight. I carry this MagLite® with me all the time as long as I drive cars. It's the most amazing and versatile equipment I can think of and now I even use it for my light-painting photography sessions! Also, it's a great tool for some self-protection too :))

Another great use of this flashlite is to remove your own shadow while shooting front-lit scenes with an ultra-wide angle lens :)

On a side note, I wonder if there are color filters available for the MagLite®. If anyone knows, please let me know. Otherwise I think I'm gonna make some of my own to have more color control in the field.

Post-processing notes: DRI of three exposures, one for the whole scene at 222 sec., another for just a small portion of the foreground wheat which was overexposed, shot at f/4 for 3 sec. and a huge amount of series from the star-trails, all blended and painted in manually with the help of photoshop's layermasks.
