Backcountry Glance

Really need to watch it large

The weather was terrific today, though a tad colder then yesterday. The evening started to fall. Capturing a scenery like this seems just a matter of stopping the car, crabbing the gear and shooting those particular areas where light and shadows are playing their game. There wasn't enough time to set my tripod shooting for multiple exposures for the sake of nice DRI or HDR, so I treated a single shot from this series for the mood I was after. Pretty much the mood I initially encountered when stepping out of my car.

P.s. I know I haven't been around too much here on Flickr lately, checking new work from each one of you one by one. But doing so for 1400+ contacts seems like a tedious task, especially when you got a business to run most part of the day. Moreover I cleaned up my contacts-base a few times, desperately hoping to filter-out those who are never here, including brand new contacts I always loyally seem to accept - why shouldn't I in the first place. But even managing my contacts takes more time than I would proudly admit. Therefore I think I'm going to purge my entire contacts-base and reorder it to have a neat and efficient one.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, disappointed or whatsoever . There's always a comment or two from regular and loyal visitors like you. And I would like to thank you for that as well!

But I scratched my head at least a dozen of times asking myself how come that nearly 5% of 1400+ contacts aren't active on my stream at least once without the use of regular pushing technologies like posting to a group, hacking posting dates and more boring stuff like that. In the ideal circumstances we wouldn't even need a single group to have comments from our contacts-base right? Anyway, just curious what you guys think or what you did to achieve a clean, active and efficient contacts-base here at Flickr. As usual, I'm always open for ideas and suggestions.

For instance, does anyone know how to purge all contacts from a single click?

Location: Germany, near the Dutch border.

No HDR or DRI, just a single shot as treated in PS.

Have a great weekend to you all.
