House of Blue Leaves
Creighton University’s Department of Fine and Performing Arts will present the black comedy by John Guare, “House of Blue Leaves,” in the Studio Theatre of the Lied Education Center for the Arts , Wednesday, Feb. 25, through Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009. t tells the story of New Yorker Artie Shaughnessy, a middle-aged zoo attendant in Queens, who still has a lingering dream of becoming a famous songwriter. However, the realities of life with a mentally deranged wife, Bananas, and a potentially dangerous son, Ronnie, coupled with Artie’s own lack of initiative and talent, have turned this dream into a deluded fantasy.
